Questions and compassion are the heart of my photojournalism. As a member of the press it’s my duty to ask questions on behalf of my communities, so I can help inform them and the world at large. It’s also my responsibility to lead with compassion and respect. My interviewees, subjects, readers, and colleagues trust me to authentically represent them to the masses — that’s a weighty responsibility, but one that I carry with my head held high.
